  • Practice Education (Placement Activity) accounts for up to 50% of a student's course when studying a professional degree and is imperative to ensure our students have the relevant opportunity to gain experiences and the required skills for their chosen profession. The Placement Coordinators role is to oversee high quality, efficient and effective placement administrative support for students, academics, and placement providers. The post holder will utilise their extensive administrative skills to support the workings of the team.

    The Person

We are searching for an enthusiastic, proactive and organised individual to join the Practice Placement team. You will need to have a good standard of ICT and literacy skills, be able to work independently to deadlines, and be able to communicate appropriately with internal and external stakeholders. You will be a team player, and work across the team to support shared aims and goals.

    Directorate/Function

The Student Development and Graduate Success Directorate (SDGS) offers wide ranging practice-based education and training programmes across Nursing, Health Science, Midwifery, Social Care and Education which are informed by high quality and impactful research.

We have a successful track record in public and service user engagement to develop knowledge transfer partnerships and other enterprise activities.

The Directorate's professional administration and support teams work together to ensure business and support services are effective, efficient and sustainable in meeting the needs of our students, staff, stakeholders and areas of work.
