Undergraduate Admissions and Outreach (UAO)

Policy Adviser

Grade 7: £38,674 – £46,913 (pro-rata)

Part-time 30 hours per week

This is a responsible position which offers the opportunity to be involved at the centre of the Undergraduate Admissions and Outreach department (UAO) in a busy and challenging environment. The Policy Adviser will provide first- class policy advice and support to the Senior Head of Policy, the UAO Director and senior leadership team of UAO. The UAO Policy team is made up of two Policy Advisers, one Policy Administrator, one Policy Assistant, and the Senior Head of Policy. The post holder will be required to service UAO related committees in particular Admissions Executive Committee (AdEx) and Admissions Committee (AdCom), and their related sub-groups, by producing high quality and coherent policy papers and by representing UAO on these committees and groups when required. The post holder will also play a pivotal role in the organisation of work required to fulfil the annual reporting commitments to external bodies including the Office for Students (OfS).

The successful candidate will be an experienced individual able to work effectively with stakeholders across the collegiate University supporting policy development and implementation through clear communication, guidance and advice.
