Applications are invited for appointment as Principal Lecturer in Accounting in the Faculty of Business and Economics (Ref.: 530936) , to commence on July 1, 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter, on a three- year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal. The title of Associate Professor of Teaching may be offered to an outstanding candidate, subject to approval by the University.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Accounting and a minimum of twelve years' teaching experience in tertiary institutions. The appointee is expected to provide high-quality teaching, at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in accounting, as well as be active in contributing pedagogical innovations and curriculum enhancements. Experiences in teaching advanced courses at MBA, EMBA and Executive Education level programmes, and leadership at programme or departmental level will be an advantage. He/She will also be expected to support various administrative services.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 15% of the basic salary. Housing benefits will be provided as applicable.
