About the person
The Faculty of Law is seeking to appoint three full-time academics who are inspirational legal educators with excellent academic records and who value the importance of providing law students with an exceptional learning experience; who will serve as models of integrity and professionalism; and who will contribute to the collegiality of the Faculty.
Specifically, the Faculty is seeking:
- One Academic with expertise and an international reputation in private law, preferably property law, to be appointed to a teaching + research position at the level of Professor or Associate Professor A or B;
- One Academic with expertise and an international reputation in public law, preferably criminal law, to be appointed to a teaching + research position at the level of Professor or Associate Professor A or B; and
- One Academic with legal practice experience and legal training expertise to be appointed to a teaching-focussed position at the level of Assistant Professor A or B as a program lead in the Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (GDLP) program.
All three positions will be continuing appointments. The specific academic level to which the academic is appointed will depend upon their demonstrated eligibility against the position descriptions and selection criteria below.

The salary for this position is outlined below and will be negotiated commensurate with skills, qualifications, and experience.
