The School of Architecture, Technology and Engineering (ATE) at the University of Brighton comprises ~130 academics, who bring a strong portfolio of high-quality, practice-based research and knowledge exchange over a range of disciplines including sustainable energy systems, manufacturing, robotics and automation, applied thermal fluids, visual computing, secure software engineering, structures, built environment, values and sustainability, and architecture and design with particular emphasis on communities and sustainability.

We are looking for self-motivated individual to lead a vibrant community of researchers working to develop innovative solutions in the area of sustainable energy systems. In order to be selected for this post, you will have a record of nationally (and possibly internationally) recognised research excellence in an area which aligns with our internationally recognised Advanced Engineering Centre. A sustained record of UKRI grant income and of leading major research programmes with academic and non-academic partners is also desirable. Experience of leading / supporting a REF submission in Unit of Assessment B12 will also be an advantage.
