  • About the Role

    Reporting to the Special Collections Coordinator, the Project Archivist: Aboriginal Education and Knowledges will provide technical advice and professional expertise in establishing an Aboriginal Education and Knowledges Collection to preserve and make available material about Aboriginal research and education at UniSA and its antecedent institutions.

    The Project Archivist: Aboriginal Education and Knowledges will ensure the preservation, arrangement, description, discovery and access of archival materials and liaise with communities and key stakeholders to ensure that the Collection is established respectfully, described accurately, and promoted and accessed appropriately.

    Essential Skills and Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in Archives, Library or Information Management, or equivalent skills and knowledge
  • Demonstrated experience in working with and/or managing archival or cultural collections with personal and culturally sensitive material
  • Knowledge of copyright and other intellectual property rights relating to collections including Aboriginal cultural and intellectual property rights
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to represent the University and liaise and negotiate effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • High-level organisation and time management skills including experience in work planning and prioritising to meet deadlines in a complex team environment
