DUTIES
Brief description of the project:
Thompson Rivers University, Open Learning (TRU-OL) is looking for a qualified content expert/curriculum developer to complete a major revision of PSYC 2041: Introduction to Brain and Behaviour.
Course Description:
Students investigate the neural basis of behaviour. They examine the structure, function, and development of the nervous system, how nerve impulses are generated, and how neurons integrate information to produce behaviour. They explore basic neural mechanisms involved in sensation, perception, feeding, motor control, sleep, emotions, learning, and memory. They also survey neuroscientific research methods used to study the brain and behaviour in healthy and clinical populations. With this foundational understanding of the neural basis of behaviour students are prepared for further study in the fields of neuroscience, psychology, healthcare, research, education, and more.
Course Development Process:
The course developer will work under the guidance of the Instructional Designer responsible for the course development project, and in collaboration with the course development team will:
TRU-OL uses a collaborative approach to course development that involves interactive planning meetings and review sessions as needed.
