Research Assistant I/II in the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (Ref.: 530666 )

Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will actively contribute to research projects focused on scoliosis under the guidance of supervisors. Responsibilities include conducting molecular biology experiments, handling clinical samples, and performing multi-omics profiling and analysis.

Requirements

Applicants should have a M.Phil./Master's degree in medicine, biology, or a related discipline, or a Bachelor's degree plus at least one year of laboratory work experience, preferably with experience in molecular biology, cell culture, and handling clinical specimens like blood, muscle, and bone. Experience in phlebotomy is advantageous. Priority will be given to candidates with strong written and spoken communication skills in both English and Chinese, including Cantonese. Extensive bioinformatics skills are a plus. The ideal candidate should be organized, self-motivated, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.

The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a 1-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.
