Background

Applications are invited for a part-time Research Assistant to work with the My Home Life England team for a 22-month period. My Home Life is a highly successful national initiative (www. myhomelife.org.uk) which aims to improve quality-of-life for people receiving care and support. The postholder will be engaged in a range of social care research projects, undertaking literature reviews, writing proposals and occasionally undertaking fieldwork.

Responsibilities

Working within the My Home Life England team, the role is a multi-faceted one in supporting a range of research activity that informs our local development work and supports our research strategy. We are looking for a Research Assistant to support our local development programmes and lead on aspects of our research activity – which will range from literature reviewing to qualitative analysis and potentially some fieldwork.

Person Specification

The successful candidate will have a degree in health, social science, psychology or related discipline and have experience of qualitative analysis and literature reviewing. Excellent interpersonal skills and experience of research or development within the social care system is essential.
