About the roleAs a Research Associate in the Coote research group at the University of Bath, you will help lead the research of an enthusiastic team of chemists, by developing methodology for the synthesis of the highly strained caged heterocycles azacubane and the diazacubanes - intriguing molecules that have never been synthesised before. The project is funded by the Leverhulme Trust, and is available for up to 3 years.
You will perform both individual and collaborative research, write up research results for publication in leading scientific journals, and will have the opportunity to present your results at internal and external seminars and conferences.
You will also have the opportunity to supervise student projects, be involved in departmental teaching activities (if wished), and as a member of Research Staff at the University of Bath, you will be encouraged to take up a minimum of 10 days professional development pro rata per year.
More information on the group's research can be found on our website (https: // susannahcoote.wordpress.com), and informal enquiries about the position are welcome - please email Dr Susannah Coote ([email protected]) if you would like to discuss the role in more detail.
This is a fixed-term position, expected to end December 2027.
