Research Associate in Photoelectrochemistry (Fixed Term)

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 28 February 2026 in the first instance.

Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in solar fuel and chemical synthesis under the supervision of Prof Erwin Reisner. The project will develop photoelectrochemical devices for carbon dioxide as well as biomass and plastic waste valorisation, and will oversee the assembly of bias-free systems and explore a range of catalysts to enable selective and high-performance transformations. The PDRA should have (or be about to obtain) a PhD in chemistry or chemical engineering or a closely related discipline. A strong background in photoelectrochemistry and photovoltaic materials is essential for the position. The project is highly collaborative and multi-disciplinary, so the successful applicant must display an enthusiasm for team working.
