This is an exciting opportunity for a Research Fellow to engage in research to further their expertise and grow their research profile to achieve national recognition in their discipline. The incoming Research Fellow will contribute to developing research that will generate new knowledge about the extent of standards and benchmarks for reproducible neuroimaging research.
At this level, the incumbent is expected to manage service and engagement roles and activities to enable reuse, build upon and trust published findings, accelerate scientific discovery and position Australia's neuroimaging scientists to lead in reproducible neuroscience.
Key responsibilities will include:
Research: Establish a research program, collaborate on research projects, seek and manage research funding, publish in reputable journals, utilize best practice research methodologies, and participate in project discussions.
Teaching: Where undergraduate and postgraduate teaching is undertaken achieve teaching quality as indicated by approved surveys and outcomes for students and improve or innovate where appropriate in response to feedback.
Supervision and Researcher Development: Supervise students, recruit and manage employees, provide performance feedback and training, resolve conflicts, and ensure correct remuneration and benefits.
Citizenship and Service: Develop partnerships, demonstrate leadership through mentoring, engage in internal service roles and committees, perform administrative functions, provide support to colleagues, and uphold university values.

Experience in meaningful internal service roles in conjunction with active contributions to external activities.
Extensive knowledge in containerisation technologies like Docker/Podman and Singularity/Apptainer.
Extensive knowledge of web development techniques such as web assembly and java script.
Extensive knowledge of scientific workflow systems such as NiPype.
Extensive knowledge of neuro scientific data standards such as BIDS.
Extensive knowledge of the two target platforms brainlife.io and neurodesk.org.
The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre- employment checks, including: right to work in Australia, criminal check, education check, etc.
