    The Finance Directorate at CQUniversity is seeking an experienced individual to join the Research Finance team within the Corporate Budget team. Research Finance is a team dedicated to providing business analytical and advisory services to internal and external stakeholders across the University's diverse research portfolio. The successful candidate will be a highly organised professional with excellent communication skills and have experience operating in a finance management support capacity.

    You will play a crucial role in coordinating and managing the financial aspects of research grants across CQUniversity's research portfolio. Your responsibilities will include providing financial analysis and reporting to inform decision-making, assisting with the development of University budgets and forecasts, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and funding regulations.

  • Position Requirements
  • Knowledge of management accounting, budgeting and forecasting, and finance policy concepts and processes.
  • A relevant degree with subsequent experience; or extensive experience and specialist experience or broad knowledge in technical and administrative fields.
  • Experience in operating in a finance/budget management support capacity including preparing a range of documentation.
  • Advanced computer skills and knowledge, particularly in the use of business support software including specialised spreadsheeting features, word processing, electronic diaries and email in the use of large corporate finance systems.
  • Experience in researching and analysing a range of financial situations, statements and reports; providing accurate and informative reports and developing strategies and options to address issues raised.
