Assist with developing better patient care and family support for people living with Parkinson's Disease and related disorders
The Role
MQ Health Clinics is recruiting for a Registered Nurse to effectively assist clinical and research activities, working closely with the Professor of Cognitive Neurology (Professor Simon Lewis). You will be a key member of the Parkinson's Disease Research Clinic, assisting with the development of projects in consultation with researchers. You will actively contribute to other fundamental tasks such as preparation of relevant reports, clinical trials, contributing to report writing, recruitment activities and monitoring data collection that is essential for projects and research study timelines.

The Parkinson's Disease Research Clinic is a research-based facility that strives to develop better patient care and family support for people living with Parkinson's Disease and related disorders. Our research investigates the causes underlying many of the problems faced by people living with these conditions. We hope a better understanding of these symptoms will improve quality of life. In addition, we have specific studies addressing novel treatment and diagnostic approaches.

To be considered for this position, you will demonstrate the below requirements in your CV and a 1-page cover letter.
Current AHPRA Regiseration
At least 3 years of experience and relevant training, preferably within a clinical research and/or clinical trials setting
Demonstrated awareness of the principles of confidentiality, privacy, and information handling
The ability to work both independently and as a part of a team, strong problem-solving skills and the ability to use initiative and exercise sound judgement
The ability to prioritise workload with competing priorities and limited supervision
Competency with critical assessment of vital signs, administration of medications including injections, performing ECGs and EEGs, venepuncture and cannulation, and assessing signs of clinical deterioration; as well as educating participants and families per study protocol
A good understanding of and be certified in ICH-GCP, or be willing to complete ICH-GCP certification
Demonstrated understanding of the legislation, codes, regulatory and ethical guidelines relevant to clinical research and clinical trials
