Applications are invited for appointment as Research Officer in the HKU Research Hub of Population Studies within the Faculty of Social Sciences (Ref.: 530743), to commence as soon as possible for one year.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in the Social Sciences, Sociology, Public Health, Social Epidemiology, or related disciplines. They should have a good knowledge of data harmonisation and statistical analysis, as well as research experience in handling longitudinal data analysis. Proficiency in written English, excellence in management and statistical skills, and the ability to work independently are expected.
The appointee will work in the HKU Research Hub of Population Studies (https: // www. socsc.hku.hk/rhps/) within the Faculty of Social Sciences. The role involves planning, managing, coordinating and implementing research activities on topics related, but not limited to, migration, health, ageing, children and family, gender and sexuality, mortality, population and development, and urbanisation. He/she will oversee data collection, data analysis, draft reports, and perform any other relevant tasks as assigned by the Director and the management team.
