    You are a motivated professional with a strong attention to detail, who can successfully build and maintain relationships with a broad variety of stakeholders and manage competing priorities. You demonstrate initiative and can work autonomously to support the ongoing management and reporting of research projects.

    About the Role

    Reporting to the Manager: Research Projects Management, as the Research Reporting Officer you will coordinate the verification and submission of annual financial reporting activities to external funding bodies and Government agencies and contribute to the continuous improvement of systems and processes to support the research project management lifecycle. You will do this by monitoring the investment and performance of major research initiatives, compiling statutory government research reports, and responding to ad hoc requests for research and financial data from both external and internal clients.

    The UniSA Research Office provides support for the management of research and administers internal and national competitive research grants and projects. It is also responsible for ensuring the responsible and ethical conduct of research and for developing and implementing strategic initiatives to improve the quality of the experience and outcomes for postgraduate research students.

    Essential Skills and Experience

  • Excellent numeracy skills, including the ability to understand and interpret financial data
  • Highly developed analytical and information literacy skills to locate, evaluate and compile relevant resources to generate reports
  • Ability to use initiative to achieve specified outcomes, working both individually and as a team member
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel spreadsheets, with the ability to manipulate and present data for different audiences
  • Experience, or a passion for, working in research environments is highly desired
  • Experience in the use of corporate project management and finance systems such as Research Master and Finance One is desired
