At the Institute of Neuroscience and Physiology, at the Sahlgrenska Academy, we conduct research and education covering a wide range of knowledge areas. The institute comprises five different departments: Clinical Neuroscience, Health and Rehabilitation, Pharmacology, Physiology and Psychiatry and Neurochemistry.
The Institute of Neuroscience and Physiology, invites applications for a Researcher employment at the Department of Psychiatry and Neurochemistry. The Department offers world-leading translational research spanning cell and animal models to clinical studies and comprehensive epidemiological studies. Here, successful research is conducted in areas such as bipolar disorder, addiction medicine, aging, neurochemistry and forensic psychiatry. The project below is a part of FRESH, which studies measures to support good aging at home and contribute to the understanding of the frailty process in older people.
DutiesThe employment as a researcher is linked to the research project "Bridging the gap: chain of care through active follow-up of a "case manager (CM)" after discharge - a controlled study". The research project is conducted in collaboration with hospitals, primary care and the municipality. The researcher will participate in the analysis of a focus group study to examine different professionals experiences of and views on what should be included in a care chain through active follow-up of CM of frail older persons and what responsibility and role each organization/professional group has in the collaboration.
QualificationsRequirements: Holds a doctoral degree in a relevant subject area, which demonstrates knowledge and expertise in the field of geriatrics. Has a proven ability to work independently, which includes handling complex tasks without constant supervision. Demonstrates a strong ability to collaborate with other researchers, which means being able to contribute to and benefit from colleagues' knowledge and experience to achieve common research goals. Has significant experience in using focus group methodology, which includes both collection and analysis of data. This experience is an important asset and demonstrates the ability to manage qualitative research methods effectively.
Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.
EmploymentThe employment is limited (temporary) for 3 months, 30% of full-time, and is placed at the Institute of Neuroscience and Physiology. Starting date: as soon as possible or as agreed.
