At Curtin University, our Risk, Compliance and Audit team play a pivotal
role in ensuring compliance with legislation, helping the University manage
risks, and managing and providing assurance on the University's policies and
procedures. Our team works closely with a wide range of stakeholders to
develop and support a culture of transparency, accountability, and excellence,
contributing to the University's long-term success.
Your New Role
As a Risk and Compliance Coordinator , you will collaborate with various
university stakeholders and work to facilitate and support the University's
policy, compliance and risk frameworks. This is a unique opportunity to
directly contribute to the safeguarding of the University's operations and
reputation by providing expert guidance, facilitating processes, and promoting
best practices. Your work will have a lasting impact, helping to create a
safer, more transparent, and resilient institution.
Key roles and responsibilities:
Administering and maintaining systems, tools, templates, and processes for
the University's compliance, delegations, and risk frameworks.
Guiding and supporting University policy developers with the development,
review, approval and publishing of their policies.
Spreading awareness through education and training materials to enhance
policy, compliance, and risk capabilities.
Monitoring changes in the external political, legislative or regulatory
environment that could impact Curtin.
Collecting and analysing data to generate insights and dashboards to
support the development of reports related to the policy, compliance and
risk frameworks.
We are looking for someone with:
Relevant qualifications and experience working within risk and compliance
management.
Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly
present information.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain
professional relationships across various areas and levels.
Proven ability to work within established policies and professional
standards.
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks
and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
A keen interest in data management, workflows, and project coordination.
