An exciting opportunity exists for a professional, experienced and proactive Senior Executive Assistant to the Vice-Chancellor and President of Macquarie University.
In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of executive and administrative support for the Vice-Chancellor. This includes organising and prioritising a range of day-to-day activities such as diary appointments, coordination of travel arrangements, and scheduling and supporting meetings and key communications issued from the Office of the Vice-Chancellor.
You will have the opportunity to collaborate and partner with key stakeholders that engage with the Office of the Vice-Chancellor, and the range of projects and programs that are undertaken in the portfolio and University as a whole. This will include Executive Members and Leadership Teams across the University. If you are an excellent communicator who strives in relationship building with stakeholders across all levels in the organisation internally and externally, then this is a role you will thrive in.
You will also contribute to continuous improvement across the portfolio by analysing different operational procedures and standards, whilst utilising comprehensive reporting skills to identify areas of development.

The Office of the Vice-Chancellor (OVC) provides the Vice-Chancellor with a wide range of executive and administrative support to enable effective and efficient leadership of the University. Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience
High level understanding of and experience working in the Higher Education (or similar large, complex, matrixed) environment.
Demonstrated ability to apply that understanding and experience to the delivery of high-level administration and executive support and projects requiring the development of collaborative working relationships.
Excellent analytical, research and negotiation skills appropriate to problem solving and complex planning.
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Experience in the management of a dense and fluid calendar.
Experience working with travel providers in arranging intricate multi- country itineraries.
Discretion and ability to maintain the confidentiality of communications and documents.
Experience in the interpretation and application of policies and procedures, and the provision of advice and feedback to key stakeholders.
Demonstrated expertise using administrative information systems (databases/CRM) and all programs in the Microsoft Suite.
