Applications are invited for appointment as Senior Lecturer in Real Estate and Construction in the Department of Real Estate and Construction (Ref. 530976) , to commence as soon as possible thereafter, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal.
Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in the relevant field with at least 5 years' teaching or industrial experiences. Applicants are supposed to have an international reputation in the field and be with a multi-disciplinary background and relevant professional experience applied to design, construction, facilities management, and heritage conservation. It will be an advantage to have a good record of productive research outputs and consciously input the research outputs in teaching.
The undergraduate and postgraduate programmes offered by the Department are accredited by a number of international and local built environment professional bodies. The appointee will develop and teach courses at both under- and post-graduate levels, undertake course- and programme-related administrative duties, coordinate renovation projects of the Department and perform other duties as assigned.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary. Housing benefits will also be provided as applicable.
