CST is home to six subject areas: Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity and Computer Networking, Creative Technologies, and Engineering. Our activities are supported by the University's significant investment (circa £40m) in our STEM building, which opened in 2019. This building comprises state-of-the-art teaching and research labs.

CST has a growing international reputation for providing high-quality education that is underpinned by impactful research. The School performed well on the recent REF2021 exercise and has a large suite of funded research projects, which it seeks to build upon.
