The Department of Educational Administration and Policy is seeking to recruit a Senior Lecturer/ Lecturer in the areas of Foundation in Education and Policy Studies in Education. The Department is one of the four academic departments under the Faculty of Education of CUHK (https:// www. fed.cuhk.edu.hk/), an international center for professional training and research in Education. For Senior Lecturer, applicants should have (i) a relevant doctoral degree; and (ii) at least eight years' post-doctoral relevant teaching experience at post-secondary level. Evidence of research and scholarly activities is also generally expected.
For Lecturer, applicants should have (i) at least a Master's degree (preferably a doctoral degree in a relevant discipline); and (ii) at least four years of post-Master relevant experience. Applicants who possess a doctoral degree with less experience will also be considered.
Applicants should have (i) specific interest in Ethics in Teaching Profession, Structure & Process of Schooling, Early Childhood Education, Educational Policy and Practice, Civic Education, Moral & Value Education, and Life Education; (ii) a track record of course design, curriculum development and teaching methodology development, and demonstrated leadership in teaching; (iii) strong commitment to excellence in teaching, as well as (iv) a good command of written and spoken Chinese and English.
The appointee will be responsible for (a) curriculum development; (b) teaching relevant courses in programmes offered by the Faculty of Education, as well as (c) supervising teaching practice. He/ She may also be assigned duties in (d) administration, (e) course co-ordination and (f) other project development work.
