Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Research Infrastructure)
This is a full-time fixed-term position through to December 2028 with salary in the range $127,496 - $134,829, plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%.

The Senior Trials Manager leads and oversees the operational aspects of the clinical trials/studies portfolio at UQ CTC. Responsibilities include protocol development, regulatory compliance, budget management, stakeholder engagement, and team supervision. This role collaborates with the Academic Director and Associate Director to enhance the trial portfolio and manage staff effectively.
Key responsibilities will include:
Clinical Research Management
Manage clinical trials within the CTC portfolio, providing expertise and support to investigators and collaborators.
Represent the CTC and liaise with stakeholders as necessary.
Contribute to portfolio development, strategic planning, and adherence to regulatory guidelines.
Oversee study portfolio planning, budget monitoring, and resource allocation.
Provide senior expertise on RCTs and ensure adherence to best practices.
Mentor trial management staff and promote a positive workplace culture.
Facilitate educational opportunities and address issues to ensure trial progression.
Quality, Safety and Research focus
Contribute to quality improvement and research initiatives, demonstrating a dedication to identifying and enhancing processes.
Assist in developing and refining quality management procedures for CTC trials, emphasizing participant confidentiality and data security.
Pursue ongoing professional development opportunities to expand expertise in research methodologies, including attending conferences, workshops, and guest lectures.

Postgraduate qualifications or equivalent experience in clinical trial management.
Proficiency in navigating complex clinical and research environments, including evolving interdependencies and technical content.
Demonstrated expertise in research methodologies, data management, and clinical trial regulatory compliance.
Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams to achieve project milestones and manage budgetary plans effectively.
Strong track record of contributing to successful research outcomes through publications and presentations.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills for effective stakeholder management and relationship building.
You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment and may be required to complete background checks including, criminal history and education checks.
