You will also be sharing responsibility for shaping the ODDI's strategic plans through evaluating new biological targets for prosecution in drug discovery projects, providing expert advice as to the tractability of targets and contributing to the writing of funding applications.
To be successful in this role, you will hold a PhD in organic synthesis or medicinal chemistry, with post-qualification experience in an integrated drug discovery group, along with sufficient specialist knowledge in the field of medicinal chemistry to develop multi-disciplinary drug discovery projects. You will have technical expertise encompassing small molecule design and synthesis, chemistry software packages and electronic laboratory notebooks, and a strong publication record in chemistry, including experience independently writing scientific reports and manuscripts.
