About the Portfolio
The Operations Portfolio enables an integrated, enterprise-wide delivery for best practice student and staff experiences.
The Portfolio incorporates the following business units: Enterprise Projects and Business Performance (EPBP), Communications, People, Information and Technology Services (ITS), Office of the Chief Operating Officer, Procurement and Vietnam Operations.
The Portfolio houses significant drivers and delivery components across the staff and student journeys and enables the overall experience for both groups. The Portfolio is integral in bringing the RMIT strategy to life, across the globe. Each of these functions supports the global operations of the University both directly as well as through its controlled entities.
The Information Technology Services (ITS) function, provides RMIT University with current and emerging Technology systems and services. About the Role
The Senior Quality Assurance Analyst will work closely with business and technical stakeholders within the Delivery Portfolio, platform squads, value stream, and BAU activities to define the scope of testing, identify test scenarios and opportunities for automation, develop and execute functional test cases, and manage defect triage processes. Taking on a proactive role, the Senior QA Analyst will work closely with developers, business analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure that designs and built solutions meet business needs and are of high-quality standards.
The Senior QA Analyst will be an expert in the testing domain in which he/she operates and will provide consultative advice to stakeholders as required. The Senior QA Analyst will support Project Managers, Scrum Masters, and wider Project Team members in completing project tasks and deliverables related to testing activities, e.g., analysis, planning, and estimates.
The Senior QA Analyst will also be a key contributor to the QA Practice and actively share knowledge and skills with other QA Analysts.
About You :
To be successful in this position, you'll have, as a minimum:
Demonstrated experience with global digital transformation programs. Experience with software testing as part of IT development, implementation of applications or infrastructure projects & programs, including Agile and Waterfall initiatives and projects.
Solid knowledge and experience in the use of Testing tools and product suites, including Jira and Test management software.
A team player and contributor who demonstrates curiosity and a will to learn and become an expert in our systems and platforms and the business capabilities and processes enabled through them.
Good knowledge of API Testing and API Testing tools such as Postman, JMeter, and ReadyAPI.
Understanding and ability to create automated test cases using automation frameworks like Playwright or Selenium Webdriver and scripting languages like JavaScript or Python.
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a technical team and to mentor other technical team members as required.
Good knowledge of databases and proficiency in writing SQL queries.
Broad technical acumen across application platforms, cloud infrastructure, network, development frameworks, and UX/UI.
Proven ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively on multiple projects.
