About the position:

The researcher will participate in research activities of the project “Mediated Society,” reg. no. CZ.02.01.01/00/23025/0008713, in Programme Johannes Amos Comenius (Czech Republic - The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, co-funded by the European Union), focuses on exploring the impact of artificial intelligence on society and sees artificial intelligence as both a tool to expand human capabilities and a challenge related to the widening digital divide, the proliferation of conspiracies and deepfakes, and the lack of AI literacy. The project is focused on understanding processes related to the process of working with information at the individual, social, and societal levels through the perspective of selected social sciences and humanities disciplines (psychology, political science, theology, pedagogy) and in close collaboration with computer sciences.

The candidate is expected to get involved in laboratory tasks, including the acquisition of data with an MRI scanner and EEG system, subsequent data handling, and preprocessing.

The applicant will take part in the activities of Research Plan 4: Psychometric models as a means of understanding mental processes and states. In the position of Technician-Laboratory Technician, the employee will be involved in collecting neuroimaging data in CF MAFIL.

You have (necessary competencies):

The successful candidate should:

  • be a graduate with at least an MSc degree or its equivalent in the field of biomedical engineering or a related technical field
  • have practical experience with both MRI and EEG data acquisition and data processing
  • have excellent communication skills and be able to collaborate with multiple teams,
  • be able to work independently but also interact with the research team.
