Classification: Student Assistant IV Employee group: PSAC Job title: Group Tutor – 15.163 and 15.152 Department: Biology Wage: $20.69/hr Hours of work: 3-5 hours/week with maximum of 42 hours Start date: January 15, 2025 Number of positions: 1 Length of appointment: until April 10, 2025 Date issued: December 19, 2024

Duties: 1. Assist students with understanding of course content 2. Explain concepts, clarify information, answer student questions, and offer support 3. Administer practice tests or exams to assist with learning material and prepare for actual tests or examinations and other relevant duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Experience: 1. Preference given to current Brandon University senior undergraduate students or students enrolled in a graduate program at BU 2. Completion of 15:163 with a minimum of B+ is necessary 3. Previous tutoring experience is considered a strong asset 4. Ability to work with minimal to no direct supervision 5. Working hours may include day and evening as needed 6. Comfortable working in small group settings
