The CBS Green Office is looking for a student assistant with a passion for sustainability, organizational change and responsible education to join our team.

About us:

The Green Office works with strategy development as well as implementation of one of CBS' core priorities, namely the green transition. CBS aims to play an important role in the transition to a greener economy and society. Specifically, we plan to achieve this through reforming our educational offerings, research, external partnerships, as well as managing our own operations and emissions. The Green Office is the “go to place” for everything green at CBS – from research, to education, to events, to bottom-up initives.

The Green Office is an independent unit, which means that while we are a small team, you will work within a complex organizational framework. Within our office, you will find an entrepreneurial spirit and a “can-do” attitude, as well as extremely flat hierarchies. You will work alongside Hanne Harmsen, Vice Dean for the Green Transition; and Green Transition Officers Jens Riemer and Lavinia-Cristina Iosif-Lazar.

The tasks will include:

  • Project and event management for the Green Business Forum – large sustainability-themed conference at CBS - and similar events
  • Editing in MS office applications (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Producing and editing documents in Adobe InDesign & Photoshop
  • Quantitative data analysis in Excel for our Green Dashboard – science based real-life tracker of CBS' sustainability efforts
  • Qualitative data analysis and coding in NVivo (content analysis programme)
  • Data collection and analysis on various research topics within responsible and green education
  • Updating and managing the CBS Green Transition website and PRME social media accounts
  • Relationship-building and management with faculty, students, partner universities, and external stakeholders
  • Contact person for green student organizations at CBS, hosting a networking breakfast each month
  • Ad-hoc tasks related to the daily operations of the Green Transition Office
  • About you:

  • You are passionate about sustainability topic and want to create impact by driving change at one of the most renowned Business Schools in Europe
  • You are studying for your bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field of study
  • You are a good communicator and fluent in both oral and written English, knowledge of Danish is an asset, but not a requirement
  • You are self-driven and have the courage to take control of the tasks you are given - of course in collaboration and with help from the team
  • You are goal-orientated, focused and efficient - even when things need to move fast
  • We can offer you

An exciting student job where you can influence both your own work tasks and the project. Your working day will take place in close contact with project teams at one of Denmark's leading universities. You will have the opportunity to work on different types of tasks and gain valuable experience working in a large, politically driven knowledge organization. You will have a wide range of contacts both internally across CBS and with our external partners. We also work closely with CBS' green student organizations, so you will also have a close relationship with them. The working hours are approximately 15 hours per week divided into two to three days with the possibility of flexibility during exam periods and the like.

    Salary and employment conditions

Recruitment will be in accordance with the HK organizational agreement and the Joint Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Public Employee Organizations (OAO-S Joint Agreement). The salary currently amounts to between DKK 140.57 and DKK 147.46 (as of 1 April 2024 level) and depends on previous employment in the office profession and level of education. The position is permanent while you are a student. It is a condition of employment that you are enrolled at a higher education institution.
