Technical Delivery Team Lead
We have an exciting opportunity available to join our IT Services Department
as a Technical Delivery Team Leader (2-year fixed-term basis with possibility
of extension) with hybrid working (up to 80% remote) offered.
IT Services is a key department that ensures that the University has the
robust, reliable and high-performing IT facilities it requires to support the
distinctive needs of those engaged in teaching, learning, research and

About the role
This key leadership role sits within the CMS and Web Platform Team,
overseeing the technical delivery of the University's web content
management platforms, including Oxford Mosaic and Oxford Fresco, as well
as React/Node.js applications hosted on AWS. The Mosaic platform supports
over 1000 sites, contributing to various University functions such as
outreach, administration and research dissemination.
The successful candidate will manage a dynamic team of developers, working
alongside the Support Team Leader managing several functional analysts, to
ensure that systems are secure, efficient, and current. The role will also
support the rollout of the Transforming Oxford's Digital Communications
initiative, part of the University's ambitious Digital Transformation
Programme.

About you
You will have a strong technical background, with expertise in Web Content
Management (CMS) systems and web-based applications using open-source
technologies. Key responsibilities include:
Leading the technical delivery function, ensuring the planning and
execution of software and system improvements, and collaborating with
third parties to maintain technical standards.
Experience in Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, is highly
desirable, as is experience managing technical resources across multiple
projects.
A degree in computing or an IT-related field, or equivalent professional
experience, is essential.
