  • Contribute to one of the largest changes to higher education in Australia over the past 30 years and help shape the new Adelaide University. You will work for the University of South Australia and be based in the Integration Management Office (IMO) in the People & Culture Domain.

    You are a driven and adaptable professional with proven ability to communicate effectively and build trust across all levels of an organisation. Your broad experience in organisational design and workforce planning, combined with your strong analytical capabilities, will enable you to excel in a dynamic and changing environment.

    About the role

    As the Workforce Transition Partner, you will support multiple Academic and Professional Areas/Units as they transition to the organisational structure within the new Adelaide University. You will implement the Workforce Transition Strategy and provide expert guidance and support to align the workforce with the new organisation strategic direction. You will work closely with key stakeholders to support the transition of staff to the new Adelaide University, leveraging your exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills. You will facilitate a smooth and efficient transition process that maintains organisational productivity, employee engagement, and overall operational continuity.

    Core Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement workforce models to support the new organisational structure.
  • Prepare organisational charts reflecting the new structure, ensuring clarity and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Position description development and evaluation.
  • Manage remuneration adjustments and employment contracts.
  • Manage the assignment processes for transitioning positions. Assess and assign staff for placement into Adelaide University positions.
  • Develop and implement placement criteria and assessment methodologies.
  • Provide tailored support to address specific team needs and challenges during the transition.
  • Essential Skills and Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organisational Development, Workforce Planning, or in a similar role
  • Proven experience in supporting workforce transitions and organisational change
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and use data effectively
  • High-level interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, including negotiation skills, and the ability to relate to a broad cross section of people
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships
  • Highly developed organisational and project management skills and experience in managing multiple priorities, projects and resources within tight timelines
