  • We are seeking a Workforce Transition Support Officer to contribute to one of the largest changes to higher education in Australia over the past 30 years and help shape the new Adelaide University. You will work for the University of South Australia and be based in the Integration Management Office (IMO) in the People & Culture Domain.

    About the role

    As the Workforce Transition Support Officer, you will support multiple Academic and Professional Areas/Units as they transition to the organisational structure within the new Adelaide University. You will work closely with leadership and key stakeholders to execute strategies that align the workforce with the new organisational goals, ensuring minimal disruption, and supporting employees through the transition. You will assist in the facilitation of a smooth and efficient transition process that maintains organisational productivity, employee engagement, and overall operational continuity.

    Core Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support such as assisting in scheduling and coordinating meetings, prepare and distribute meeting agendas, minutes and relevant documentation
  • Organise and maintain data related to workforce modelling, position descriptions and classifications, and ensure accuracy and integrity of data
  • Provide support for developing position descriptions, reviewing and managing employment agreements
  • Coordinate logistics for placement and assessment panels, including scheduling and communication with panel members
  • Build and manage communication templates, FAQs, and staff intranet content related to the transition
  • Essential Skills and Experience

  • High level organisational and time management skills together with demonstrated resourcefulness and initiative including experience in managing competing demands
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to consistently produce work to a high standard
  • Ability to instigate and undertake tasks with minimal supervision and work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to structure written content logically and coherently, and tailor for different purposes and audiences
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with experience building relationships
  • Highly developed computer literacy skills
