IJKSS was originally founded in Japan in 2000 by Professor Y. Nakamori and Professor Z. T. Wang, the Founding Editor and, in 2003, by Professor J. Gu3 in Guangzhou. Currently IJKSS is co-organized and managed by DTU.
The International Journal of Knowledge and Systems is now included in SCOPUS and ESCI
The mission of IJKSS is to promote the development of knowledge science and systems science and the establishment of the two sciences as a significant academic discipline worldwide. Targeting professors, students, practitioners and field specialists, this journal covers the development of new paradigms in modelling the of human knowledge process, based on mathematical, technical, social, psychological, and philosophical frameworks.

In 2001, another DTU journal classified as Q2 and entitled: “EAI Endorsed Transactions on Industrial Networks and Intelligent Systems” was added to the SCOPUS database by the Content Selection & Advisory Board (CSAB).
Meanwhile, DTU has dedicated itself to developing international journals in the fields of Chemistry and Physics, and currently is still the only university in the Central region to publish journals listed in Scopus and ESCI.
