About Brock University

Brock University is one of the top post-secondary institutions of Canada. Located in the Niagara region, this public research university was established by the Brock University Act's passage by the Ontario's Legislative Assembly in the year 1964. It is the only university in the country in a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, at the center of Niagara Peninsula of Canada on the Niagara Escarpment. In the year 2019, U.S. News and World Report, the university was ranked 1010 under the category of Best Global University Rankings.

St. Catharines campus of the Brock University houses around 2,500 students in 8 residence complexes. Also, the institution has a campus in the city named Hamilton in Ontario. It has a gymnasium, board room, instructional resource center, library, large classrooms, modern computer labs, faculty office space, conference facilities, food services, and green spaces.

The Brock University of Canada offers several undergraduates, graduate, post-graduate and doctoral programs. With around 19,000 plus students in Seven diverse faculties, it features an academic experience that is not secondary to any other Canadian university. It is the only institution around the world that offers the MICA (Mathematics Integrated with Computing and Applications) program. Even the Department of Health Sciences of the institution offers the only undergraduate degree in Public Health in the country Canada.

The University offers more than 70 undergraduate programs and 50 graduate programs. There are approximately 6,000 full- and part-time employees working at the university. It boasts of a notable faculty staff of 600 members including 8 Canada Research Chairs and 12 faculty members with 3M Teaching Fellowship Award. Each year, more than $11 million in awards and bursaries are made available to students through a wide variety of initiatives.

The Alumni Association of the university is operated by a volunteer Board of Directors. The rising global stature of the Brock University of Canada is accredited to its remarkable alumni network which includes over 100,000 alumni across the world. Some of the distinguished members of its alumni include Canadian director Jared Pelletier, ice hockey executive Kyle Dubas, politician Malcolm Allen and radio and TV personality Rick Campanelli.
