We are looking for a colleague to join the Department of Czech language with focus on contemporary Czech.

MAIN JOB CONTENT

Pedagogical

  • Participating in lecturing or other forms of teaching in Bachelor's and Master's degree programme and lifelong learning programmes.
  • Participating in the organizational provision of pedagogical activity.
  • Supervising, consulting or reviewing Bachelor's theses, in exceptional cases Master's theses.
  • Participating in publishing activity, especially for educational purposes.
  • Research

  • Participation in the activities of research, development, and related innovation.
  • Participation in the investigation of grant projects.
  • Participation in the organizational provision of research activity.
  • Other activities

    Participation in ensuring operational and administrative activities related to the academic position according to the instructions of the department head, e.g.:

  • routine administrative tasks in the administration of own courses, use of e-learning and communication with students via the MU Information System
  • organising and participating in foreign internships for students and academic staff
  • participation in the promotion of the field
  • Candidate requirements:

  • Master's Degree in the field of linguistics or related (Czech Language, General Linguistics, Computer Linguistics, etc.) – a condition
  • An advanced stage of a PhD Degree in the field of linguistics or related (Czech Language, General Linguistics, Computer Linguistics, etc.) – a condition (by an advanced stage, we understand that the candidate has fulfilled the study requirements of the program and is about to submit a dissertation)
  • Excellent publication track relative to the stage of the applicant's career – a condition (papers in prestigious international journals or proceedings, chapters in scientific monographs published by prestigious international publishing houses, conference presentations)
  • a significant period of study or employment at a foreign academic institution – a condition
  • research focus on experimental linguistics – a condition
  • knowledge of English at the C1/C2 level
  • excellent knowledge of the Czech language in both written and spoken form
  • Requirements related to job content:
