This is an opportunity to take a hands-on role at the heart of Curtin’s residential community in Kalgoorlie, coordinating the day-to-day business operations that help Agricola run effectively while contributing to a positive experience for residents.

As Business Operations Coordinator, you will bring together operational coordination, administration, stakeholder engagement and resident support. Working closely with the Accommodation Manager, accommodation staff, University service areas and external stakeholders, you will help ensure operational matters are managed efficiently while supporting a welcoming and well-connected residential community.

The role offers genuine variety. Alongside coordinating business processes, reporting, resources and administration, you will contribute to residential life programs, pastoral care and activities that encourage community living, cross-cultural connection, health, wellbeing and participation. • Develop and maintain efficient administrative processes, communications, reports and correspondence.
  • Provide clear advice on relevant policies, processes and operational matters.
  • Coordinate residential life, social interaction and pastoral care initiatives that support community living, cross-cultural connection, health, hygiene and sporting activities.
  • Support resource planning, budget monitoring, staffing administration and the supervision of administrative staff where required.

  • Support the Accommodation Manager in responding to critical incidents, emergencies, and behavioural or disciplinary matters in line with relevant processes.

  5. Highly effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
  6. The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently with limited direction.
  7. Sound judgement and the ability to resolve day-to-day and critical issues appropriately.
  8. An understanding of issues relevant to young people and the capacity to provide pastoral care within a residential environment.
Desirable: Previous experience in tertiary education, particularly student accommodation or working with international students, and experience mentoring young people.
