About the Role
As a Curriculum Administration Advisor, you will play an important role in supporting Curtin’s curriculum approval and governance processes. Working closely with academic and professional staff, you will provide practical advice on curriculum administration, policy, quality and compliance, while supporting the effective use of Curtin’s Curriculum Management System (Akari).
You will review and progress curriculum proposals and changes through established governance pathways, ensuring submissions are accurate, complete and ready for committee consideration. Using your judgement and attention to detail, you will help maintain high-quality curriculum information and support sound, compliant governance outcomes.
You will also support the implementation of approved curriculum changes across Curtin systems, helping ensure information is accurately configured, published and maintained to support effective student administration.
Please note: this role focuses on curriculum administration, quality and compliance rather than curriculum design or academic content development.

The Office of the Academic Registrar at Curtin University supports and facilitates the universities governance functions, regarding both internal and external reporting requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Provide clear, practical advice to academic and professional staff on curriculum administration, policy, quality and compliance.
- Support staff to use Akari effectively and navigate curriculum proposal and change workflows.
- Review curriculum proposals and changes for completeness, quality and compliance before committee consideration.
- Prepare and quality-check documentation for Faculty Courses Committee and central committee agendas.
- Advise on the appropriate governance and approval pathway for curriculum changes and developments.
- Undertake quality assurance of curriculum information and study package content across Curtin systems.
- Represent the Curriculum Management and Quality team at Faculty Courses Committee meetings, providing process and compliance advice.
- Build strong working relationships across the University and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and relevant team projects.
- Experience working with complex database or information management systems, with the ability to investigate, analyse and report on data.
- Demonstrated ability to learn and confidently use new systems and processes.
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to provide clear advice and manage stakeholder requests professionally and tactfully.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and deliver accurate outcomes.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, building effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience interpreting and applying policies, procedures and legislation, including maintaining supporting procedures and templates.
- Sound judgement, discretion and problem-solving skills within established policy and procedural frameworks.
Role Requirements:
- As this is a continuing (permanent) role, you will require permanent work rights in Australia to be considered
