Located on Algonquin territory between the Rideau Canal and the Rideau River nearby downtown Ottawa, the Carleton University campus is stretched across 62 hectares.
The campus houses more than 35 buildings that are linked to one another by 5 km of underground tunnels. All the buildings have a top-notch infrastructure and offer first-rate facilities. The MacOdrum Library has a collection of over two million books, tapes, periodicals, microfilms, CDs, maps, government documents, and archival materials.

Robert MacNeil is a novelist and a former TV news anchor known for writing 'Wordstruck' and 'Burden of Desire'. Michelle Douglas is a well-known human rights activist. John Manley formerly served as Canada's deputy prime minister. Rosemary Barton is a popular journalist known for being the co-anchor in 'The National', CBC News nightly broadcast.
