Responsibilities:  The part-time Campus Recreation Facility Assistant ensures a safe, clean, and welcoming environment across recreational spaces, outdoor courts, and athletic fields to maintain a high-quality recreational operation for the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Community.  This role includes daily office administration, scheduling of part-time workers, reporting facility maintenance issues as needed, and ensuring campus recreation and field rules and guidelines are followed.
Must be able to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.  Work schedule will vary, not to exceed 26 hours per designated workweek, which is Saturday through Friday.  
Minimum Requirements: 
  1. Must be an active and committed Christian who will support the University’s mission and who will be an active participant in their local church.
  2. A high school diploma or GED equivalency is required. 
  3. Strong attention to detail with the ability to recognize and communicate safety, equipment, or facility maintenance concerns is required.
  4. Currently hold or be able to obtain within the first month of hire, certification in CPR, AED, and First Aid.
  5. Basic knowledge of utilizing a leaf blower is preferred.
  6. Possess strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage student and non-student staff and professionally enforce policies.
  7. Must be able to operate a leaf blower and carry sports equipment.
  8. Must agree to the University’s Employee Statement of Understanding.
