The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign is accepting applications for the Housekeeper at Allerton Park and Retreat Center. This position will perform housekeeping duties in order to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for Allerton hotel guests, ensuring the guest experience is executed with attention to detail. The hours for this position are primarily 7:00am – 3:00pm. The schedule will be flexible based on operational needs with weekends required. This position is an in-person role and requires a successful candidate to work on site at Allerton. Duties Responsibilities Housekeeping Guest Accommodations Ensure that the standards set forth by management are being met. Make beds and replace with clean linens. Clean restrooms and replace clean linens and other hotel supplies (soap, shampoo, toilet paper, etc.). Dust furniture and other surfaces. Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors. Wash windows. Remove trash from guest rooms. Ensure confidentiality and security of guest rooms and guest belongings. Laundry Services Wash, dry, and fold laundry. Restock housekeeping closets in the Mansion and Guest Houses with clean linens. General Cleaning Clean public restrooms and common areas for event and hotel guests. Guest Services Answer phones, make hotel reservations, and assist guests with questions they may have. Report any maintenance issues or damaged items accordingly.
