The Student Assistant will provide essential support to the computer lab by ensuring the lab's smooth operation and readiness for student, faculty, and staff use. This role requires a proactive and responsible individual who can perform tasks independently while effectively communicating with lab users and the administration team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all lab equipment is functional, including computers, printers, and other devices.
- Monitor and restock supplies such as paper, toner, and other materials as needed.
- Assist lab users with technical issues or general inquiries.
- Communicate equipment malfunctions, supply shortages, or other concerns to the Associate Director of Administration at Lang and IT support.
- Complete tasks independently, ensuring the lab is well-maintained and operational at all times.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Strong communication skills to relay issues and requests to management and IT support.
- Basic understanding of technical equipment and willingness to learn troubleshooting processes.
- Punctual and reliable, with a proactive approach to resolving issues in the lab.
Workmode: Onsite #LI-DNI
Hourly rate: $19
