Job Title: Lecturer Applied Music - Instrumental
Job Description Summary: The Department of Music invites applications for a position as Lecturer in Applied Music. Primary responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate applied music lessons and studio classes.

Successful candidates will have college-level teaching experience and a record of success in teaching a wide range of styles. In addition, the candidate will have an active performing career and demonstrate potential for continued success as a performer. Finally, an enthusiastic commitment to teaching undergraduate and graduate students, a positive collaborative approach to working with fellow artists, and the ability to support students’ transition into the professional world are important considerations.

This posting is to create a pool of interested applicants from which the Department may draw as needs arise throughout the academic year. This posting may or may not result in the hiring of an applicant. Pre-employment screening includes verification of academic credentials and background check.
Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in instrumental performance or related field, and experience as a teacher and performer at the University level.
