Semester 1 centrally-organised exams will run between 11-29 January 2027.
Main Duties and Responsibility:
Act as invigilator under the supervision of the Senior Invigilator:
Assist with setting up the exam room

Ensure exam scripts and materials are collected at the end of the exam
Essential Criteria:
Abilities commensurate with a good standard of general education including proficiency in written English

High level of tact and diplomacy and regard for confidentiality with the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
Hours/ Availability:
Morning invigilation slots start at 8.20am and afternoon invigilation slots start at 1.20pm. University of Reading exams vary in length from 1 to 3 hours and most students with complex reasonable adjustments are allowed extra time and/or rest breaks, so finishing times will vary.
Most exams for students with complex reasonable adjustments are finished by 6pm but occasionally an invigilator may need to work later than this due to the complexity of a student’s arrangements. Invigilators must remain on duty until the end of the exam they are covering.
